Ideally located in the countryside if you like peace & quiet although not ideal if you dont have your own transport.
Lovely cottage but needs updating. The cushions on the sofa are tired and the carpet dirty in places, the windows outside full of cobwebs and the greenery very overgrown. Having said all that it is in a great position within easy walking distance of the Ramsey to Douglas bus service, very comfortable beds and we would stay there again.
This cottage was perfect in every way for us, a short 5 night stay to visit family & friends. A welcoming warm and cosy feel as we entered the cottage, it had everything we required, the kitchen compact and a snug sitting room to relax in, very comfortable beds and the bathroom adequate, I did find the shower tricky to operate but put that down to my age and not being used to modern appliances! Great to have such good parking and loved the situation and quietness, a perfect, relaxing, restful place to stay. Would be more than happy to stay there next time we visit the Isle of Man. Thank you Island Escapes for your excellent service.
This peaceful cottage was ideally situated for exploring the whole of the island. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and we found the beds extremely comfortable. Our dog loved the garden at the rear of the property and making friends with the wildlife. Wi-Fi reception excellent. Our only issue was trying to work the TV on arrival as the instructions werent clear how to find mainstream channels- it took my daughter at least 30 minutes to solve but sound very low.Prior to our visit the staff at Island Escapes were very helpful thus contributing to our amazing stay on the Island.
A lovely quiet and peaceful setting. Comfortable and warm, great comfy beds. A little tired in places but we did stay towards the end of what was I expect a busy season, that said overall a great base to explore a wonderful island.
Cottages are in a lovely private location.Front room rug needs cleaning and back door mat needs replacing, a few stains in the bedroom too, otherwise very clean and tidy.
We enjoyed our stay in the cottage which was comfortable and clean. The groceries left for our arrival were welcome and useful. The abundance of hot water was good for showers and dishwashing. The islanders we met we're welcoming and helpful, as were the staff we met at the various attractions we visited.A good holiday enjoyed by us all.
Lovely cottage well equipped and clean, very comfortable .Some lovely walks on the door step to enjoy with our dogs .
We had to move out of our house due to a chemical spill and found your customer service excellent.Thanks.
Bwaane Meanagh surpassed all our expectation - great location and the property was of a high standard. We ate all our meals in the beautiful garden and walked the local lanes and public footpaths. Cottage was well equipped to a high standard and was exceptionally clean everywhere. Hope we can go back for a longer stay!!!
This was an excellent place for our first visit to the island. The welcome pack of goodies was much appreciated. Bwaane Meanagh is well furnished and has plenty of kitchen equipment and good storage space in each room. There was plenty of hot water, the shower worked well and there was new a shower curtain. We really appreciated the location and enjoyed hearing the many birds. Very easy access by car around the island. The three day train ticket worked well for us and being National Trust members, we could get free entry into most of the Heritage attractions.
Lovely cottage, easy to get to all points on the island. Very very clean. Garden is a bird watching paradise.
Had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was comfortable and had everything we needed. We took our dog and there was an unforgettable walk down the beach just a 15 minute walk away. Absolutely loved the idyllic setting of the cottage waking up to just the sound of birds and seeing all the stars at night. Loved it and would definitely stay again. Nicola - Bolton
This was a last minute pick and a good one.IOM is so small and easy to get around (we had a car) that the more isolated location wasn't an issue. If anything, it was an advantage. There are two pubs nearby. We ended up eating there more often than we originally anticipated. This wasn't a problem as the kitchen was well equipped. We were concerned that, as it is squeezed between two other rental properties that it might be noisy. It wasn't. Just dead quiet. We would go back to Bwaane Meanagh.
Comfortable cottage with plenty of room for 2/3. Everything we needed for our stay though would have liked more mugs and tumblers. The beds and lounge furniture were very comfortable and the towels soft. Ideal quiet location for exploring the north of the island.
Second stay and we loved it. Friendly helpful staff. Any issues are sorted straight away. Location for us was perfect and quiet. Fabulously comfortable bed. Only negative comment would be cottage need a new sofa and chair and shower curtain.
Highly recommend this venue for it's structure, situation, and landscape.Ideal for exploring the north west coastline. Close to Peel, a city of unpretentious marine charm. The owner supplied a well-chosen section of local produce as a Welcome Pack. The Ross sourdough bread was outstanding for Manx standards, and the pack was indeed welcome after a long journey and late arrival.
The contents of the kitchen and the mold on the shower curtain really let the property down. The cleanliness of the cottage was generally below par and outdated / lack of local/IoM information took any shine away.In terms of the kitchen contents:2 v old wooden chopping boards felt unhygienic; the frying pan was bowed so it didnt work on the hob; the cutlery was cheap and unpleasant to use; the crockery was a mismatch of all sorts; the knife block was old and again felt unclean; there were no oven gloves and lack of any basic food items eg salt, pepper, oil etc. For a self catering cottage the kitchen really was not up to muster.
We have had a lovely stay in Bwanne Meanagh and Bwanne Jiass as a group of five of us this worked really well. We usually stay in Douglas and the cottage experience was new to us as well but the location of the cottage just outside Kirk Michael was really central for exploring the Island. The cottages were lovely and clean and cosy and a lovely welcome pack was provided by the hosts. The booking experience through island escapes was easy and these cottages are excellent value for money. It's a really relaxing place to stay and the beds were really comfy too. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay.
