The town of Ramsey with its independent shops and cafes is just three miles away, from here jump aboard the Manx Electric Railway, stopping off at many picturesque parts of the island.
One of the Island’s largest towns, Ramsey has plenty to do and see, for all ages! A beautiful sandy beach stretching for what seems like forever and fabulous walks for your dog to enjoy are not too far away. Mooragh Park is also just 5 minutes away, featuring excellent leisure facilities for all ages. Visitors can find tennis courts, a bowling green, BMX track and a crazy golf course' as well as a children’s playground and special water play area. Watersport activities are available on the lake in the summer too! To top it off, Mooragh Park is a registered Dark Skies Site, from which you may even be able to see the northern lights on the horizon when the conditions are just right!

What a lovely cottage to spend our time in the Isle of Man. It was so comfortable and clean. The host was there to meet us with the keys when we arrived. There was some supplies to get us going and plenty of information about places to visit. I'd recommend this place.
Nice modern accommodation with thoughtful touches. Very pleasant, accessible owner. Mentioned we would have liked more cutlery etc to cut down on use of dishwasher and some kitchen implements.

Very comfortable self catering apartment. Spotlessly clean. All amenities you would require are there. Amy and Her Husband, the owners are very friendly and couldnt do enough for us. Great base to explore a fantastic wee island. My Wife, Heather and I will definitely be back. Would love come and watch the TT, Royal 1 would be a great base to do so.
The house was excellent, spotlessly, clean and in a quiet cul-de-sac.I would definitely stay here again.
The property is very well kept, well equipped and the hosts are lovely.The area is very quiet despite building works still going on that looks as though they are coming to an end soon.

Lovely accommodation and 10 days of warm, sunny weather! Really pleased we took our car as we were able to do so much more and everything is only a short drive away. We loved the park in Ramsey and the swimming pool with its exceptional cafe is not to be missed. The five days heritage pass allowed us to visit a number of heritage sites.
We found Royal 1 very comfortable - relaxing living room area, a spacious kitchen/dining room and sleeping in such a soft, luxurious bed was wonderful! We are both quite fit and therefore, because we did not bring our car over to the island, a daily walk through the park into town was not a problem. However, there are a limited number of buses available to get you from near the house to the bus station in the centre, so visitors need to be aware of that. Amy was very helpful indeed, including giving us a lift on the day of our departure, when it would have been a struggle pulling a large suitcase as far as the bus station! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Royal 1.
We truly enjoyed our stay , the host Amy was delightful and very accommodating , making sure we had everything we needed.Royal 1 was beautiful presented, comfortable living area and bathroom , kitchen was well stocked.The garden was an extra bonus .Parking was no issue.Would definitely go back .
The property is an extension to the owner's house and is modern, clean and comfortable. Amy made us very welcome and gave us some useful tips on local amenities and places of interest.Location a minor issue as there was a construction site opposite but it didn't really disturb us as we were out most of the days. As the work opposite is completed this aspect will improve and the property will be more secluded.A very pleasant stay and thank you to Amy for her kindness and help in enjoying a wonderful island.
Superb location, only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and walking distance to Ramsey town centre. Accomodation was very comfortable, clean and felt like a home away from home.
