A delightful family house in a superb coastal location in the north of the Isle of Man.

Book now
If you are looking for a family break in a peaceful setting it is hard to beat Creggan, with stunning views north towards the Point of Ayre and Ramsey bay and rural views towards North Barrule, the Isle of Man’s second highest peak. The house has its own private driveway with ample parking for 3 cars and is set in its own large private garden at the start of the Maughold headland.

With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the property sleeps up to 7 people. The spacious lounge makes the most of position of the house to take in the differing views. A double bedroom on the ground floor along with a ground floor bathroom offers a solution if one or two members of the group should struggle with stairs. Upstairs there are 3 more bedrooms, two doubles, and a large single bed.

A short walk away is the beach at Port-E-Vullen, ideal for a sea swim or a spot of kayaking or paddleboarding! Catch the Manx Electric Railway into Ramsey or Laxey from its stop nearby and enjoy many beautiful walks in the area.

In nearby Ramsey there is plenty to do and see. A beautiful sandy beach stretching for what seems like forever and fabulous walks for you to enjoy are not too far away. Mooragh Park is also just around the corner, featuring excellent leisure facilities, where visitors can find tennis courts, a bowling green and a crazy golf course. Watersport activities are available on the lake in the summer too! To top it off, Mooragh Park is a registered Dark Skies Site, from which you may even be able to see the northern lights on the horizon when the conditions are just right!

The Grove Museum, just outside of Ramsey town centre, provides an insight into the life of a Victorian family who built the house in the 20th Century. There are other Victorian attractions in Ramsey, such as the Queen's Pier and the aforementioned Manx Electric Railway.

David, Rotherham - December 23 "Creggan is an excellently placed home that is ideally suited to everyone "

We loved our stay at Creggan it is situated in a great location and from there everything is available including the sea sand and many walks and towns and areas to visit. The house is very well equipped it is spacious and well thought out. The downstairs bedroom is excellent for anyone elderly or disabled. Upstairs the further three bedrooms are quirky and the main bedroom is very spacious. The views around the house are magnificent we loved it and we will definitely stay there again.Island escapes deserve a mention too they manage perfectly they are so friendly, helpful and sort any problems out as quickly as they can. 5 star to the also.

Island escapes agency is a excellent company to book your holiday with. Staff are helpful, friendly and very professional. They booked the ferry done every thing it was a peace of mind. The property we stayed in the Creggan is a first time for us and to the isle of man. The house is absolutely stunning. Spacious. Beautiful views all around us, exceptionally clean. Very well equipped. Very organised and comfortable. The grounds to the property were lovely. I can not praise this property enough. Even the dogs enjoyed there holiday. 10 minute walk to the beach. And a gate from the garden onto the coastal cliff path. Just beautiful. We all enjoyed our time there so much and relaxing we did not want to go home, So we have booked again to return next year.

Coastal walk right on doorstep to lighthouse, 8min drive to Ramsey.Absolutely out of this world views from front garden & back, spent all our time looking out, breathtaking! Dog friendly, we did take long leads to secure them whilst we sat out as the gardens arent fully dog secure but they are fully private.Loved every minute! Would defo recommend

James, Poole - April 26, 2024 "Very pleasant property with stunning sea views"

A lovely property with stunning sea views - a large, secluded property with plenty of space both indoors and outside.Only real complaint is there was no electric vehicle charge point (this was an optional extra which I paid for) which when I queried was told to use a cable through the kitchen window. Luckily I had an appropriate charging cable for this, however having the window ajar created a draft, especially considering the windows faces out to the sea view. It was a bit of a faff sorting the cable out (which only just reached and I had to park just right), which was annoying considering I purposely look for places which provide a charge point. Otherwise a lovely place - the real stand out for this property is the sea view!

Hazel, Ulverston - January 12, 2024 "A New Year stay. "

Wonderful view and a nice quiet location with good parking. Very well equipped kitchen and everything spotless. Had to abort early due to a medical problem, but when we go back again as what we saw of the island we must do, we will hopefully be able to book Cretan again.

Fiona, Douglas, Isle Of Man - July 22, 2023 "Breathe and Relax"

Beautiful house with spectacular views. This house is by far the best holiday our two dogs could wish for. The front garden is not overlooked and is very private and enclosed as well as a suntrap, perfect for sunbathing and letting the dogs run free. The back garden has views of the beach, the sea, and the mountains. The beach is a 5-minute stroll where the dogs loved to paddle in the sea. The house has two bikes which we used to cycle to Maughold Church. There is a public footpath next to the house for a longer coastal walk. The house is beautiful with two ensuites, the family bathroom is more suited for bathing children and showering the dogs our adult children could not use it but instead shared the ensuites which is fine when on holiday. The utility room was perfect and all appliances were very easy to use. It was a lovely staycation and we would definitely stay again.

Beverly, Carnforth - June 30, 2023 "Wonderful comfortable stay in great location "

Creggan is lovely. Well equipped and great location. Good weather enabled us to enjoy the garden which has wonderful views. Could have wished for better curtains in the master bedroom- net curtains were inadequate. On the whole would recommend this property.

Caroline, Ramsey - May 12, 2023 "Perfect views, peace & tranquility "

We had a 6 night stay at this lovely house in May. If you want peace & quiet in a beautiful village close to the beach this is for you. The views are stunning and have to be seen to be believed. Shops, restaurants, pubs etc are in nearby Ramsey just 5 minutes away. We found the house very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The only thing we missed was our own bed as we found the ones in the house a little uncomfortable. Other than that we would highly recommend this lovely place. Plus, as an absolute bonus, they take pets at an extra cost which is generally hard to find, so our cats had a little holiday too.
