Book nowDeaks Cottage is a charming cottage hidden away in the tranquil grounds of a gated Manor House. Its' location is hard to beat, as Douglas town centre and the TT Grandstand are just minutes away.
The property has the feeling of a cosy cottage, with exposed wooden beams and fine traditional decor. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and bedside drawers. There is also a double bedroom with a chest of drawers and bedside tables. A third bedroom is arranged as a dressing room.
Deaks Cottage is a central base from which to explore the island, close to all the main amenities. For larger groups, book it alongside West View and Woodcroft which sleep 3 and 4 respectively, and are set in the same grounds.
Being so close to the TT Grandstand, it is an extremely popular and convenient location for those looking to enjoy the various motorsport events. Bray Hill is nearby, where you can experience the racing as it flashes by at 180+ miles per hour!
For a more leisurely trip, there is plenty to do in Douglas. Not too far away is the Manx Electric Railway, the famous Douglas Bay Horse Tramway and Douglas Promenade. Venture further into town and you can find many amenities such as the Gaiety Theatre, Villa Marina, cinema, promenade, pubs and restaurants.
There is allocated parking and a bus stop close by.

Very convenient for anywhere on the Island, it was very difficult to find in the dark,needs better signage.

The cottage is in a pleasant quiet location, just right for a relaxing holiday. It is located uphill and out of central Douglas, walkable, but with buses running conveniently nearby and with private parking.
Weve stayed at Deaks twice. Both times enjoyed our stay. Spacious and in a good location that is walkable to most areas. Keep in mind it is an uphill walk from the promenade. Great for 2 people but can accommodate more. There is only 1 bathroom on the ground floor and the bathroom mirror is positioned too low. You cannot see your face. Kitchen is adequately equipped and has modern appliances including a dishwasher.
Spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, in a lovely secluded location (I grew up nearby and had always wondered what lay behind those high hedges!). The Island Escapes staff were very prompt and helpful in responding to a couple of problems we reported. Pre-arrival information was excellent, though I'd suggest including the fact that there are automatic gates. The only downside was the poor internet. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Nice cottage in a quiet location accessed through a gated entrance. Well served by buses. Note there is a steep climb if you walk up from the beach.

Lovely cottage and nicely equipped. Comfortable bathroom. Dressing room is a great addition. Comfortable bed. Had to move from Woodcroft after Easyjet canceled our flight. Customer service was absolutely amazing in helping us get reaccommodated. We have rebooked for next year.
What a lovely stay we had at this wonderful cottage. The location was excellent - just a few minutes walk from Douglas peer. The furnishings were of high standard, rooms were large, and it was great that it was based in a small gated estate, providing that little bit of exclusively and security. The only downside was that the Internet did cut out on occasion but other than that Deaks served as a great base from which to explore this magical island, rain or shine. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay here again given the opportunity.
