We had a fantastic 8 night stay at Tides View. Port St Mary is a beautiful and peaceful seaside town. The property is extremely well equipped and one of the cleanest I have visited. Rob the owner was easy to get hold of to resolve a couple of very minor issues during the stay. The greatest thing about the property is the views from the kitchen and primarily the lounge. It would be very easy to waste the whole holiday with either a cup of tea or glass of wine staring out across the harbour! Many thanks Rob for a memorable stay on the island!
We needed a property to stay in during a visit to the isle of man. This is a great property very conveniently located in the south of the island close to pubs, restaurants and other amenities. As usual island escapes did an excellent job in making the process seamless and providing a property that was exceptionally clean and functional.
Beautiful house with amazing views in a nice location. May need ear buds if you dont want to be woken up by seagulls early in the morning in the higher floored bedroom.
What can I say. Anyone who gets to say in this beautiful house will not be disappointed. This was our first visit to IOM and we were most definitely not let down. Tides View was the perfect location to reach Castletown/Douglas and was right next to the steam train station. The interior is a work of art with the beautiful staircase as almost the best feature. Want a stunning sea view? Youre guaranteed this! The glass fronted top floor living room provides the perfect cosy, comfortable place to enjoy this view. You can watch boats come in and out the harbour and even see the planes take off and land at Castletown. Its perfect for (slightly older) kids as theres SO much room and two of the bedrooms can become single beds. I wouldnt recommend toddlers/babies due to the stairs unless you have good travel stair gates! There is a balcony in the kitchen which is a little haven to enjoy a cuppa and a view and breathe in the sea air. The beds are SO comfy and you even have the luxury of a plunge bath after a chilly day out walking its such a luxury! We SO appreciated the essentials of milk/butter etc when we arrived as we came off a late flight. The hosts are SO accommodating and kind and are at the end of an email/phone should you have any concerns. You are a stone throw to one of the best fish n chip shops on the Island and there is a new Restaurant taking shape called Kellas a short walk away which currently does phenomenal brunch/lunch and evening grazing platters but will soon open as a stunning evening restaurant. Theres also some lovely coffee shops a small walk away. You are also lucky to be close to the Sound Caf which I will leave for you to find out why its SO phenomenal I recommend their queenies scallops enjoy with the spectacular view! There is a local boat tour that leaves from PSM and will take you to the Calf of the Man. We were lucky to see puffins and seals on this trip. Stevens boat is usually moored in the harbour opposite the house. If we came back wed definitely want to stay here again. We cannot fault this house other than having to leave it when we wanted to stay longer!
Tides View is exactly that. A modern, very clean and comfortable place to stay in Port St Mary with the best views from the kitchen and small balcony. It was sometimes difficult to tear ourselves away from watching the tides and the many boats coming and going from the harbour. Very well equipped it is a real home from home and we would recommend it. Would certainly rebook again.
Lovely stay! We were thrilled with ALL the amenities and thoughtful extras. The kitchen had EVERYthing (maybe label the utensil drawer?!) and we appreciated the bread, butter, milk, cheese, tea and coffee! The apartment was quiet, and exceptionally clean. We thoroughly were entertained by the seagull fledgling on the upper floor window sill as well as the harbor and water scenery. Thank you!
lovely place to stay. we have lived in PSM before moving off island so we are familiar with the location and its fantastic. very comfortable and clean. would be happy to stay here again!
Brilliant property that has recently been renovated. As per description. We were lucky with the weather and waking up and making a morning coffee, doors wide open, view over the sea, sun beaming in with chilled music - bliss.
