We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the barn. Ideal base for exploring the island. It was a lovely, cosy place to return to at the end of a day exploring! The log burner really was a bonus in the evening at the time of year we visited. We didnt get the use of the bi fold doors opening out on to the patio, due to the weather, but in warm weather, they would be great to bring the outside in and to be able to wander from living space to patio and vice versa!!The lovely owners live next door and were on hand if needed, but not intrusive. All in all a 10/10 stay

We had a very relaxing stay , very quiet . The barn was very well equipped and comfortable and wouldhighly recommend.
We absolutely loved our first stay in Struan Thie Barn and owners Clare and David were excellent neighbours. The welcome pack included three delicious home made jams, just one of the little touches that made the stay so good. The barn is newly converted and very well equipped. The location includes access to a beautiful little meadow, right on the doorstep, alongside the Sulby river. Although the Tholt y Will road alongside is fairly busy at times, there was virtually no road noise due to the high wall alongside the barn blocking sound.
The barn is modern and well equipped. Everything was clean and tidy. The outdoor area was excellent but unfortunately we didnt get to use it much due to the weather. Wed happily stay here again.
The cottage has been done to a high standard and is beautiful. The location was amazing as 2 mins to the local hotel and about 5 mins to the mountain road. This made it easy to get about. It is not often that you get a self catering place that is well equipped and everything is a good quality. As well as a lovely welcome pack. We will definitely be coming back
Finding location was not easy. Postcode took us to a completely different remote location, unfortunately no phone signal so couldnt get satnav working, and unable to contact owners for directions. Asked at pub , they didnt know where it was. Luckily we found a lovely family who direct us.Location quite remote. If youre looking for something out of the way, its perfect.Barn was lovely and comfortable, quality bedding and towels Relaxing, although road to village stressful, almost had a head on crash just outside. Unfortunately locals drive quite fast. Hamish had a wonderful time in the grounds. Hosts were extremely helpful.
Struan the Barn is a great place to stay towards the north of the Isle of Man. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The Barn appears to have been recently refurbished and is well equipped with access to a large outdoor space.
Beautifull cottage in a fantastic location. Very clean and well equipped. The owners were lovely and available if needed but not intrusive. The Sulby river flows through the beautiful garden meadow. If your visiting i would 100% recommend this property Thanks
Had a lovely welcome from the owners when we arrived, which always makes you feel at home. The converted barn was beautiful. Such a bright and modern feel to it. It had everything we needed including a lovely welcome pack with Manx produce. Having access to the beautiful meadow and riverside was a bonus especially as we had our dog with us. The bed was really comfortable too. The weather wasnt the best but we lit the log burner and made use of the board games provided.. had a really chilled time in a beautiful location. Would thoroughly recommend.
The best holiday cottage I've ever stayed in. The location in the valley is stunning yet accessible. Real care has gone into the design and the furnishings/equipment. The dog loved the riverside meadow.
Struan Thie Barn is a brand-new barn conversion and is just beautiful inside & outside. The log burner fire was easy to use and we had plenty of wood to light it whenever we wanted. The barn also has electric heaters so the accommodation was always warm and cozy. (We took our Alexa with us for smooth chill music & radio)The kitchen appliances are easy to use with an all-in-one washer/dryer which was very handy, everything we needed was supplied. The double bed is again brand new and very comfy however it did take us a little time to get used to sleeping in a smaller bed. (The only thing I would change is a bigger bed) The bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom had lovely towels provided and dog towels too. The bath and shower are lovely, the shower is easy to use and is over the bath. The patio and outside space are just wonderful, the patio furniture is very comfy and when the sun came out it was a sun trap, If this was not enough we were spoilt by having the most wonderful private meadow with stream and an abundance of wildlife to watch and listen too. The bird's dawn/eve chorus is just incredible. The location has lots of walks nearby but we never wanted to leave, only when we ran out of supplies would we drive into Ramsey (15 min drive) then straight back to the barn & meadow.Thank you to Claire & David for sharing your little slice of heaven with us we truly had a much-needed peaceful week and the dogs loved their holiday too.
This weekend was just perfect. Accomodation was exquisite and very restful. Ideal for walkers and anyone who simply wants to escape for a few days. I would put a radio into the property/ or Bluetooth Jam box so music can be played. Fire was amazing and outside furniture very comfortable. Definitely would stay again. Thank you.
