Ballaugh is a charming base for a trip and there's lots to do in the locality. A short walk away from Cronk Breck are convenience shops and The Raven, a fabulous country pub with a load of character and an inviting welcome. From here you can watch the famous TT races at one of the most iconic spots - Ballaugh Bridge. For those who love the outdoors, Ballaugh Beach is a wild and exposed expanse open to dogs all year round - perfect for those bringing their furry friends! The beach is also a recognised Dark Sky Discovery Spot for stargazing, meaning it has minimal light pollution and beautifully dark skies - the perfect conditions to view the stars.
A short drive away is the Ballaugh Curraghs. This area is known for its diverse wetland habitat and is a great spot for birdwatching. The Curraghs is especially notable for its population of wild wallabies, which have thrived in the area since escaping from the nearby wildlife park!
Close to local public transport links, guests of Cronk Breck can easily hop on the bus and head to Ramsey and Peel for a day out.

We recently stayed at Cronk Breck cottage with our pet, the owner Steve greeted us and he is a lovely man. The property is lovely perfect for a couple. The only complaints I have is it was freezing the heating is controlled by the owners and despite their being an oil filled radiator it wasn't adequate for the whole building, I feel the cold due to the medication I take. Despite the owners being lovely it felt like you were staying in their back room as there was an adjoining access door and windows to their living space, I would prefer more privacy. Their were treats left for our pet and it is definitely pet friendly.I am providing constructive feedback as I do stay away from home a considerable amount of time, I would stay here again it is a lovely space.
We had a lovely stay in this spacious and quiet apartment which adjoins the hosts home. Arrival instructions were clear and we were made very welcome. We were really impressed by the very well-equipped and furnished accommodation; we had everything we could need in a true home-from-home. Our dog was also made welcome and there are lovely walks in the area. Ballaugh offers a small Spar and a friendly pub and good access by car to the many heritage sites, beaches and other places to visit around the Isle of Man. Strongly recommended.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Cronk Breck. Spacious, comfortable accommodation with everything you need. Steve & Caroline couldnt have been more helpful. Its a peaceful location with a stream running nearby. Your own transport is a necessity to explore the island.
