Welcome to Ballajora Cottage, a beautifully renovated former mill nestled within the historic Ballajora Farm, which dates all the way back to the 1700s. Lovingly restored, this charming self-catering cottage offers a peaceful escape in stunning, unspoiled surroundings.

Sleeping up to four guests across three cosy bedrooms, it’s the perfect hideaway for a small family, a couple’s retreat, or a quiet trip with friends. The interiors blend rustic charm with modern comfort, creating a warm and welcoming space to unwind.

Step outside into generous front and rear gardens, complete with outdoor seating for lazy mornings with coffee or long evenings under the stars. Both lawns are natural suntraps, tucked away amongst mature trees, leafy plants, and the characterful stone buildings of the old farm.

Beyond the cottage, Maughold is a treasure trove for nature lovers and walkers. The area boasts breathtaking coastal views, dramatic cliffs, and peaceful coves - ideal for exploring on foot, especially along the famous Raad ny Foillan coastal footpath. For those drawn to culture and history, the ancient Celtic crosses in the churchyard offer a glimpse into the Isle of Man’s rich heritage.

And no visit is complete without a ride on the Manx Electric Railway. With original Victorian tramcars still in service, it’s a nostalgic journey through rolling countryside and along the coast, linking Maughold to the charming towns of Ramsey, Laxey and Douglas.

Kitchen: Fully-equipped, including oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge / freezer.

Living / dining room: Two comfortable sofas, coffee table, electric fire, Smart TV and dining table with four chairs.

Outdoor space: Outdoor seating for two people and a lawn that is accessed via stone staircase.

Cloakroom: WC and wash hand basin.

First Floor

Bedroom: Single bed, bedside table and dressing table.

En-suite: Shower, WC and wash hand basin.

Bedroom: Single bed, bedside table, hanging space, chest of drawers

Laundry room: Washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outdoor space: Accessed via the laundry room located just off the bedroom. Lawn garden and a small shed guests can use to store equipment.

Second Floor

Bedroom: Double bed, bedside tables, dressing table and wardrobe.

Family bathroom: Shower over bath, WC and wash hand basin with vanity cabinet.

Changeover day: Flexible. 4pm check-in, 10am checkout.

Pets: No pets allowed.

Accessibility: Please note, the cottage is accessed via two flights of stairs from the parking area and is split over three levels once inside and may not be suitablke for those with limited mobility.

Damage: Important! We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we now take a £35 fee from each booking as a damage waiver. This is included in the price you pay and covers you for up to £500 worth of accidental damages to the property that would occur whilst you are staying.
