As part of our full managed service to owners we respond to guest issues, and most of them are resolved with no additional charges to the property owner. However, sometimes if things are broken and need some expertise to resolve, we’ll consult with the owner, and call in someone to fix the problem charging this back to the owner as appropriate.
As it can sometimes be difficult to get someone to fix something at short notice, and with our growing property portfolio we have our own Maintenance Technician who can conduct maintenance work as and when required.
Island Escapes is pleased to be able to provide a comprehensive in-house property maintenance service to our owners meaning we are able to able to respond quicker to certain problems.
Well, as part of our managed service we will already respond to guest issues as part of our service but when we need to charge extra, it will be for a problem where something clearly needs fixing, and where we would otherwise have to call an external supplier. For example this could be fixing a leaking radiator, a toilet flush or a broken door handle. Where specific trades are required such as electrician or plumber we’ll continue to call out the appropriate trade using our network of plumbers and electricians or other expertise when needed.
When something needs fixing
It is in all of our interests to have our properties in top condition, so outside of the tourist season when there are less call outs for us, then we can co-ordinate certain projects. This could include redecoration work, joinery and general improvements which will be charged at the normal hourly rate, plus materials.
